The Foundation runs 12 hospitals, nine of which are specialized, and three are general hospitals. It also operates ambulance services, home health care services and long-term care facilities.
• Hamad Medical Corporation achieved a remarkable achievement by becoming the first health system in the world to obtain Joint Commission International accreditation for all of its hospitals under the Academic Medical Center Accreditation Program. The National Ambulance Service, home care services, stroke services, and palliative care also received this prestigious accreditation.
